Knitting

A couple of years ago I took up knitting. I immediately fell in love with it, and am now addicted to always looking for my next project. I've completed several things like scarves, hats, ponchos, and blankets. I haven't attempted a sweater yet, but someday...
My latest project is yet another scarf, however the reason I'm doing this particular one is to learn how to do cables. I'm a self-taught knitter, so I have to start slowly on new techniques. I'm loving the cabling and was surprised to find that this particular cable is actually very easy!
The scarf I'm working on is just like the picture shown here, except I'm using a different color yarn. I'm almost done with it, so I will post a picture of the final outcome as soon as I'm done with it. I got the pattern from the Lion Brand Yarn website: http://www.lionbrand.com . This is one of my favorite websites, as they have tons of free knitting patterns there. I also love their yarn, and it's usually the only one I use for my knitting. Their patterns are easy to follow, and they have many that are geared just for beginners. They even have a section that teaches you how to knit!
